Update Time: 01 Aug 2025 08:56

After creating your combination SKUs, you can now directly edit the sub-SKUs and their quantities within a combination SKU, without having to recreate the combination SKU, relist the product, or redo the SKU mapping, saving you a lot of time and effort.

1. Common Use Cases

  • Scenario 1: Incorrect combination SKU setup

No need to delete and recreate. Simply update the sub-SKUs or quantities under the existing combination SKU.

  • Scenario 2: Sub-SKU is sold out and needs to be replaced

Just replace the Sub-SKU in the combination SKU and update the listing’s image and name, and there is no need to relist or re-map SKU.

2. Feature Details

2.1 Merchant SKU > Edit Combination SKU
  • Both the sub-SKU and quantity fields are now editable, and you can freely select or adjust them as needed.

💡 Note: Modifying combination SKU information does not affect existing orders and only applies to orders subsequently synchronized into BigSeller

2.2 Export Combination SKU

  • In the exported merchant SKU file, the [Combination SKU Details] sheet now includes Weight, Length, Width, and Height fields, based on the combination SKU’s values.
  • Multiple GTINs are supported and will be displayed in a single cell with line breaks.

2.3 Import to Update Combination SKU

In the [Import & Export] section of the Merchant SKU page, a new Update the Combination SKU button has been added. You can use the import template to batch update combination SKU details, including the component SKUs and their quantities.

2.4 Impact on Inventory List

  • When the combination information of a combination SKU is updated, its inventory quantity in the Inventory List will be recalculated based on the latest Sub SKUs and their quantities.
  • If any Sub SKU does not exist in the Inventory List, it will be automatically added during the update.
  • Whenever there are changes to the combination structure (Sub SKUs or quantities), the system will trigger an inventory push.

2.5 Impact on Order Processing and SKU Mapping

Scenario 1: The combination SKU has only one version

👉 The system will directly use this version for order mapping.
.

Scenario 2: The combination SKU has multiple versions

👉 The system will automatically determine which version to apply:

  • If the order placement time is on or after the update time of the latest version → the latest version will be used.
  • If the order placement time is before the update time → the system will search for a historical version that existed at the time of the order and apply the one closest to the order time.
  • If no historical version is found → the earliest version will be used.

Scenario 3: The product in the order had no SKU mapping when syncing to BigSeller, but the user manually updated the mapped SKU afterward (e.g., by editing, refreshing inventory, or applying changes on the SKU mapping page)

👉 The latest combination SKU version will be applied to that order.

Scenario 4: Manually created orders (e.g., POS, manual, or messenger orders)

👉 BigSeller will use the combination SKU version available at the time when the user selects the SKU from the list.

Scenario 5: Revert Void Orders

When reverting a voided order, if the combination SKU information has changed during the order’s void period, the system will notify you that the combination information has been updated. You can choose to revert the order using either:

  • The updated combination SKU information (after the changes), or
  • The original combination SKU information from before the order was voided.
💡 Notes
1. If the combination SKU has inventory reserved for promotions, combination information cannot be modified. The promotion must end or the reserved inventory must be manually released before changes can be made.
2. Selling prices (for POS, messenger, or manual orders): after editing a combination SKU, the price information will be cleared and must be manually updated by the user.
